In short: We use only strictly necessary cookies to keep the site working. For analytics, we use Plausible Analytics, which is EU-hosted, uses no cookies, and collects no personal data. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.
Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, work in an analogous way and are covered by this policy.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies, temporary; deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies, remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
- First-party cookies, set directly by verdaio.ai.
- Third-party cookies, set by external services we use (e.g., analytics).
Not a cookie: browser localStorage. Verdaio uses browser localStorage to save your language preference and company profile locally. localStorage is storage that lives on your device in your browser; unlike cookies, localStorage is not automatically sent with HTTP requests and it transmits no data to Verdaio. It falls outside the scope of the ePrivacy Directive's consent requirements when used, as we do, for functional first-party purposes.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function. They cannot be disabled as the site would not work without them. They do not store any personally identifiable information.

Note on language preference and authentication session. Your language preference (`verdaio-lang`) and your Supabase authentication session (`sb-*`) are stored in browser localStorage, not cookies. localStorage is not transmitted with HTTP requests and does not fall under the same consent rules as cookies. See §1 above for the distinction.
2.2 Analytics - No Cookies, No Personal Data
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Plausible is EU-hosted (Estonia), uses no cookies, collects no personal data, and stores no IP addresses. All data is anonymous and aggregated. No consent banner is required because no personal data is processed and no information is stored on your device.
3. Third-Party Services
Our tools rely on the following third-party services. Most operate server-side only and do not set cookies in your browser; the exception is Stripe, which sets its own cookies during the payment checkout flow.
