Summary: Verdaio sells digital compliance assessments. Once your report has been generated and delivered, no refund is available — the service has been fully performed. Refunds are only available in the case of technical failure where no report was delivered, or duplicate charges.
1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all paid products and assessments sold through verdaio.ai, including but not limited to the Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), ESRS Gap Analysis, GDPR Assessment, EU AI Act Roadmap, and EU Taxonomy Assessment.
Free tools (such as the CSRD Readiness Assessment, GDPR Check, and AI Act Check) are provided at no charge and are not subject to this policy.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Digital Products Policy
Verdaio's paid products are digital services delivered immediately upon purchase. When you complete a payment:
- Access to the assessment tool is granted immediately.
- The AI-generated report is produced based on your inputs and delivered to your email address.
- The service is fully performed at the moment the report is delivered.
Because the digital content is made available and consumed at the time of purchase, no refund is available once the report has been generated and delivered.
Important: By proceeding with payment, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the report has been delivered to your email address.
3. Right of Withdrawal
The 14-day withdrawal right under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Digital Content Directive (2019/770/EU) does not apply to purchases made on Verdaio. Verdaio's services are offered exclusively to businesses and professionals acting in their business capacity, not to consumers. By creating an account, you confirm this at registration. Consumer protection withdrawal rights are therefore excluded.
To the extent that a court or regulatory authority nonetheless determines that consumer protection laws apply to your purchase, the following provisions govern: under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from digital content purchases. However, this right is waived when:
- The consumer has given prior express consent to the performance beginning before the withdrawal period expires, and
- The consumer has acknowledged that they will lose their right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed.
At checkout, you are asked to confirm both conditions. By completing your purchase you are confirming this consent. The report is then generated and delivered immediately, at which point the service is fully performed and the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
If you did not receive your report and the 14-day withdrawal period has not expired, you may contact us to exercise your right of withdrawal.
4. Exceptions — When a Refund Is Available
A full refund will be issued in the following circumstances:
- Report not delivered: You completed payment but never received your report by email and it is not accessible in your account, due to a technical error on our side.
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same product.
- Service unavailable: Our platform was unavailable for an extended period preventing you from accessing the purchased service, and no alternative delivery was possible.
Refunds are not available for:
- Dissatisfaction with the content of the AI-generated report.
- Change of mind after report delivery.
- Incorrect inputs provided by the user that affected the report output.
- Failure to read or use the report after delivery.
5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund under the exceptions above, contact us within 14 days of purchase:

- Your full name and email address used at checkout.
- Your order number (found in your invoice).
- A brief description of the issue.
We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and returned to the original payment method.
6. Disputes
If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to your card issuer or payment provider.
To the extent consumer protection laws apply, EU consumers may also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
